NESA is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt institution, authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education to grant a Master of Acupuncture (MAc) degree and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree. Both degree programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.
