Our Herbal Products
The NESA Chinese herbal dispensary stocks over 285 raw herbs, 210 powdered extract single herbs, 16 powdered formulas, and an ever-increasing stock of patent herbal formulas.
All of the Chinese herbal products carried by the NESA dispensary are manufactured by companies meeting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. The powders are easy to take as a tea or can be put into capsules for your convenience. Our concentrated powdered herbs are generally from KPC, though we also carry several herbs from Plum Flower. These companies have their herbs compiled and tested in GMP-compliant factories. NESA's internal standard of quality is the GMP certification from the Australian Department of Commerce (TGA), which is considered the most stringent GMP certification. These herbs are tested for the presence of pesticides, heavy metals, molds, micro-organisms and herbal chemical constituents.
Our raw herbs are from NuHebs, Spring Wind, and Plum Flower - companies that laboratory test their herbs for pesticides, sulfites and heavy metals. Many of the herbs are certified organic and have been tested for correct species and strength. This is as close as we can get to "organic" herbs, and it means our herbs are of consistently of the highest quality and safety. Additionally, NESA works to stock herbs that are fresh and retain freshness through the use of expiration dates, refrigeration, freezing and environmental controls on temperature and humidity.
We carry a variety of prepared herbal pills and external application products from Plum Flower, Blue Poppy and Minshan. We have just recently added a new line of Blue Poppy Great nature Classics which are an affordable seven to one concentration prepared herbal product in the most popular formulas.
The goal of the NESA Chinese herbal dispensary is to be an educational resource and teaching facility for NESA students while also providing high quality Chinese herbal medicine to practitioners and the greater community at a reasonable price.
