Michelle L. Bellavance, MAc; Lic.Ac. Professional Pracitioner

Michelle Bellavance offers Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture treatments at the NESA clinic. She is a licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine as an acupuncturist and is also a Nationally certified diplomate of acupuncture. Additionally,  she has been certified by the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute since 2009 and the CCAOM in clean needle technique since 2008. She received a Master’s Degree in Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture, from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2011. She completed 9 clinical rotations in the greater Boston area; including a pediatric rotation at Boston Medical Center, an elder care rotation in Lynn, MA, a low-cost community rotation at Cambridge Health Alliance and an orthopedic injury rotation at NESA.

She has also taken additional training courses in Advance Moxabustion techniques, under the tutelage of Tetsuya Fukushima sensei; Shaku ju therapy, under the tutelage of Kobayashi Shoji sensei; and Pain and Structural disorders, under the tutelage of Kiiko Matsumoto. In 2009, she travelled to Japan to study Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture (YNSA) at the famous Yamamoto Stroke Rehabilitation Hospital in Miyazaki. She also served as a teaching assistant for YNSA in Tokyo.

Additionally, Michelle also holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and a certificate in Film Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is also the owner of Bella Acupuncture, a private acupuncture clinic in Newton, Massachusetts.
